Netflix has placed an actor inside a billboard above Sunset Boulevard to promote its new thriller, The Last House. The stunt is designed to resemble the film’s premise of a family trapped inside their home, drawing attention to the release through an unusual public display.

The installation stands 30 feet above Selma Avenue and Sunset Boulevard, with the actor remaining inside from Thursday until Saturday 8 August and communicating with people below by whiteboard. The Last House, starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura and directed by Louis Leterrier, arrives on Netflix on Friday; it had a 36% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes from 22 reviews at publication.
