Sonja Kristina, the last surviving co-founding member of progressive rock band Curved Air, has given an interview reflecting on the group's history as it prepares to disband for good after more than five decades. Formed in London in 1970 and known for blending progressive rock with classical and folk influences, the band's planned farewell tour is now postponed until 2027, with Kristina explaining that her health and broader touring uncertainties prompted the delay.

Kristina revealed she underwent surgery for stomach cancer last summer and subsequently experienced complications, which has made it difficult to commit to a firm touring schedule. Rather than a conventional run of dates, she said the band would prefer to mark its end with occasional larger concerts featuring former members, including at least one bigger show in a larger venue, once circumstances allow.
