Netflix has confirmed that its hit French action thriller Ad Vitam is officially getting a sequel, currently known by the working title "Ad Vitam Eternam". The move follows the streamer's continued push into non-English-language hits, echoing its success with titles like Troll and Under Paris, which is also getting its own sequel.

Guillaume Canet is confirmed to reprise his lead role as Franck Lazareff, with Ludovic Colbeau-Justin taking over directing duties from Rodolphe Lauga. The cast also includes Stéphane Caillard, Nassim Lyes, Zita Hanrot, Nicolas Duvauchelle, Sophie Marceau and Mathieu Amalric. The story follows Franck as he investigates an assassination attempt made against him upon his release from prison, before French intelligence services track him down and offer him a covert mission in exchange for answers.
