‘Toy Story 5’ Officially Sets Digital Release

Collider · 4 hours ago

Toy Story 5 has been given an official home entertainment release date, with Disney confirming the film will land on Digital on 18 August, followed by 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD editions on 22 September. The announcement comes after the Pixar sequel passed $1 billion at the global box office, marking a major commercial success for the franchise as it reunites Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of Bonnie's toys, this time facing competition from modern technology for children's attention.

The home release will include a range of bonus content such as behind-the-scenes featurettes, a gag reel, five deleted scenes introduced by director Andrew Stanton and co-director Kenna Harris, and a feature-length audio commentary. Digital buyers also get exclusive music and lyric videos for Taylor Swift's original song "I Knew It, I Knew You," while collectors can pick up a limited-edition 4K SteelBook, a two-film collection with the original Toy Story, or a five-movie set spanning the whole franchise. Since its June cinema debut, the film has earned an A CinemaScore and holds Certified Fresh and Verified Hot status on Rotten Tomatoes.
