“Every second was like torment”: Sheffield mum describes “devious” dad’s plan to abduct their children
A Sheffield father has been imprisoned for child abduction after taking his two young children out of the country whilst custody arrangements were being finalised by the family court. During what was meant to be supervised visits, he told the children's mother he was taking them to Yorkshire, but instead flew them to Belfast and subsequently Dublin, where he obtained a passport for the older child through an embassy.
