Actor, filmmaker and singer-songwriter Luke Charles Stafford has launched independent production company Dream United Studios, marking his move from acting and music into producing his own work. Its first project, the short film Against the Wall, is described as an ode to fatherhood and explores family legacy through a grandson’s relationship with his grandfather.

Stafford wrote, directed and stars in the film alongside his father, Robert Sheldon Stafford Jr., with Damir Pavlovskyi, Emily Robbie and Tyler Stone also appearing. The short includes original music by Stafford, including saxophone and piano performances and a title track released earlier this year; it will premiere at The Culver Theater in Culver City during VertiCon Weekend, with a red-carpet event and Q&A.
