Palace bid for Monaco midfielder Camara rejected
Crystal Palace have had a verbal offer for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara rejected, with the reported bid exceeding £35m. The attempted deal signals Palace’s ambition under new manager Pierre Sage and could have ranked among the club’s costliest signings.
Camara, 22, is a Senegal international with 49 caps who played at this summer’s World Cup and joined Monaco from Metz in 2024 for about £12.8m. Palace have already made four summer signings, including Oscar Mingueza, Evann Guessand, Dwight McNeil and Takehiro Tomiyasu, before beginning their Premier League season at Everton on 22 August.
