Andy Weir is executive producing Exoplanet, a new Audible Original time-travel thriller written by Benjamin Percy and due to launch exclusively on 5 November. The production extends Weir’s association with science-led survival stories, but moves into time travel, with its plot built around crew members stranded on one planet across different centuries.

The full-cast audio drama stars Anthony Mackie, Ariana DeBose and John Leguizamo. After a quantum anomaly destroys their starship, the characters must communicate across a 500-year divide while evading an alien intelligence attempting to use human technology to alter the future; Audible says it is aimed at audiences of The Martian and Project Hail Mary.
