BTS member V has revealed that he has been receiving treatment for hearing loss in his right ear, which he says has affected him for around two and a half years. The disclosure comes during BTS’s first world tour since all seven members reunited after completing mandatory military service, highlighting health concerns faced by performers amid demanding schedules.

V, 30, said hearing in his right ear was roughly 30% of that in his left and that the condition worsened during military service, which he completed in June 2025. He is taking medication and attending hospital regularly; bandmate Jungkook also said he was managing a shin injury that could develop into a stress fracture as the Arirang World Tour continues through cities including Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Bangkok, Sydney and Hong Kong.
