Police in Tacoma rescued 60 cats and kittens from an abandoned sailboat near Owens Beach, Washington, after a six-day operation. Many of the animals were frightened and malnourished, highlighting concerns about animal welfare and the risks posed by leaving pets aboard an unattended vessel.
