Taylor Swift’s ‘I Bet You Think About Me’ Is Her Latest Song Removed From a Trump TikTok Post

Billboard · 3 hours ago

A TikTok post associated with the White House and Donald Trump used Taylor Swift’s song “I Bet You Think About Me” alongside clips of the president, with a caption referencing its lyrics. The audio was muted by the following day, continuing a pattern in which Swift’s music has appeared in pro-Trump posts before becoming unavailable; the episode highlights the long-running political tension between Swift and Trump.

The song, written by Swift and Lori McKenna in 2011 and later released as a Red “From the Vault” track featuring Chris Stapleton, debuted at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021. In recent weeks, posts using Swift tracks including “August”, “Father Figure”, “The Fate of Ophelia” and a live version of “Red” have also had their audio removed. Trump has criticised Swift since 2018, particularly after she endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.
