Sub Focus is the stage name of Nick Douwma, a British electronic music producer and DJ best known for drum and bass. The genre developed from UK rave culture in the early 1990s and is built around fast breakbeats and deep bass lines.

He has released music both independently and through major dance labels, and has become a regular name at festivals and large live events. His shows often combine DJ performance with extensive lighting, video and sound design.

The O2 Arena in London and Co-op Live in Manchester are among the UK’s biggest indoor venues. Arena bookings are often seen as a sign that an artist can attract audiences beyond the specialist club and festival scene.
