How Filmhub is Investing in the Creator Economy Through New Deal With UnderCurrent (EXCLUSIVE)
Filmhub has formed an exclusive partnership with talent management company UnderCurrent to help its digital creators licence and expand their content beyond social platforms. The deal reflects growing demand from advertising-supported streaming services for creator-led programming, and aims to give creators access to distribution, monetisation and film or television opportunities.
Filmhub will work with UnderCurrent clients including paranormal creator Kelsi Davies, comedy creator Jimmy Here and horror documentarian Nexpo, particularly focusing on supernatural and true-crime content. Davies, who has 3.2 million YouTube subscribers, has already received a Roku FAST channel through Filmhub covering more than 150 hours of content, launched videos on Tubi, and is preparing a six-episode series; Filmhub also says it helps creators understand contracts and screen rights.
