Songwriter JoyBeth Taylor discussed how accepting a late-night studio invitation shortly after giving birth helped lead to Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen’s Country Airplay No. 1 duet, ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore’. Taylor co-wrote Langley’s 17-week Hot 100 leader ‘Choosin’ Texas’ with Langley, Miranda Lambert and Luke Dick during a Nashville-area writing retreat. The song also spent three weeks atop Country Airplay and 35 weeks at No. 1 on Hot Country Songs, making it that chart’s third-longest-running leader; Taylor attributes much of its appeal to its familiar-feeling melody.
