Billboard · 4 hours ago

Australian singer Guy Sebastian has settled his Federal Court case against former manager Titus Day, bringing an almost decade-long dispute to an end. The confidential agreement follows Day’s public apology and acknowledgement that money owed to Sebastian had not been passed on, allowing the artist to withdraw his claim and move on.

Day managed Sebastian for 11-and-a-half years before their relationship ended in 2017 amid a financial dispute; Sebastian had sought hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees and royalties. Day was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment in 2022 over the embezzlement of A$600,000, but those convictions were later quashed on appeal after trials that included acquittals and a hung jury.

  • Guy Sebastian has settled his long-running case against former manager Titus Day.
  • Day apologised and accepted responsibility for mishandled payments.
