Alex G has released “Pain is the Heart of Love”, a new collaboration with The Blue Nile’s Paul Buchanan and the first preview of his soundtrack for Jane Schoenbrun’s forthcoming film, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. The release is notable as it reunites Alex G with Schoenbrun for a third film and marks a rare recent appearance from Buchanan.

The full soundtrack is due on 21 August and will also include music by R.E.M., Sally Shapiro, Donna Lewis and Okay Kaya. The film stars Hannah Einbinder as a director rebooting a horror franchise who forms a connection with its reclusive former final girl, played by Gillian Anderson; Alex G previously scored Schoenbrun’s We’re All Going to the World’s Fair and I Saw the TV Glow.
