Ghostemane has returned with a new single, “Zero Day”, after several years of relative absence and no album release since 2020’s Anti-Icon. The track marks a stronger move towards late-1990s rap-metal, foregrounding a style that had previously been only one element of his hybrid sound.

“Zero Day” was recorded with producer Kenneth Blume, formerly known as Kenny Beats, who also worked on Ghostemane’s Anti-Icon track “Sacrilege”, and was mixed by metal and hardcore producer Arthur Rizk. Its video, co-directed by Ghostemane and Quiet Cam, uses footage from recent secret full-band shows, suggesting a more band-oriented live presentation.
