Emily Eavis has said that Glastonbury’s three headline acts for 2027 have already been booked, but ruled out Madonna as one of them. Her comments matter because they provide the first firm indication that plans for the festival’s return after its 2026 fallow year are well advanced, while challenging widespread speculation about the line-up.

Glastonbury 2027 is due to run at Worthy Farm from 23 to 27 June, although no performers have been officially announced. Eavis told BBC Radio 4 that “95 per cent” of Glastonbury stories were untrue and declined to confirm or deny Taylor Swift; bookmakers and rumours have also linked Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Little Simz, Harry Styles, Radiohead and The Rolling Stones to the festival.
