Los Angeles Metal Band STRYFE To Release ‘Breathe’ Single Through CANDLEPOWER RECORDS
Candlepower Records and ElectraCast Media have signed a distribution agreement with Los Angeles progressive metal band STRYFE. The band’s first Candlepower release, the single ‘Breathe’, is due on 22 August, marking a new label partnership intended to broaden its reach in the metal scene.
STRYFE combines heavy rock and progressive metal with Armenian classical and folk influences, drawing comparisons to acts including Tool, Dream Theater and Karnivool. Candlepower was founded by metal veterans Diego Negrete and Bill Metoyer, the latter a former Metal Blade Records vice-president and producer associated with Slayer, Fates Warning and Dark Angel.
