Collider · 3 hours ago

Filmmaker and comic writer Kevin Smith is teaming up with artist Andy McElfresh on a new Marvel series, Spider-Man/Hulk: Fire & Brimstone, bringing together two of the publisher's most popular Avengers who recently appeared together on the big screen. Marvel has released an official preview showing the pair clashing with a gang of villains, offering fans a first look at the series ahead of its release.

The preview depicts a group of antagonists, including Sandman, Mole Man, Stilt Man, Molten Man and Absorbing Man, ransacking a church, before Spider-Man intervenes to stop the robbery and the Hulk arrives to help finish the job. The project comes as Smith is also preparing to write the five-part Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles crossover, illustrated by David Marquez and due out in January 2027 to mark Star Wars' 50th anniversary, which will unite heroes such as Captain America and Luke Skywalker against a coalition of villains including Darth Vader, Doctor Doom and Thanos.
