Hollywood Climate Summit, Jackson Wild Unveil Finalists For Expanded Nature & Climate Storytelling Awards
Hollywood Climate Summit (HCS) and Jackson Wild have jointly announced finalists for their first combined awards ceremony, to be held on 10 November in Los Angeles. The awards recognise climate and nature storytelling across film, television, unscripted and documentary work, marking an expansion of Jackson Wild's traditionally documentary-focused prize into narrative features, TV, podcasts, games, digital media and comedy after the two organisations joined forces earlier this year.
Finalists were chosen from more than 500 global submissions covering the past two years, and include narrative features such as Train Dreams and The Wild Robot, TV series such as Hacks and The Last of Us, and documentary and unscripted titles including This Is A Gardening Show and Nuisance Bear. HCS, which runs an annual Los Angeles summit connecting entertainment professionals with climate experts, and Jackson Wild, a Wyoming-based conservation media organisation with over 30 years' history, said the joint awards will likely take place every other year to allow sufficient environmental storytelling content to accumulate.
