Keke Palmer Offers Some Important Advice to ‘The Voice’ Celebrity Artists

American Songwriter · 3 hours ago

Actress and singer Keke Palmer has been named host of a new spin-off series, The Voice: Celebrity, replacing longtime host Carson Daly for the show's 2027 debut. The format shifts away from unknown hopefuls competing for a record deal, instead featuring established actors, musicians, athletes, comedians and influencers performing before a panel of coaches, marking a significant shake-up for the long-running singing competition franchise.

Speaking to E! News, Palmer said the celebrity contestants will face judging from coaches Joe Jonas, Queen Latifah and Riley Green. Drawing on her own experience as a two-time Primetime Emmy winner and actress known for films including Lightyear, Nope and Hustlers, Palmer encouraged participants simply to embrace the challenge, saying "there's nothing to it but to do it" and that the worst outcome would be learning something new. She added that she hopes the show will inspire viewers to pursue unfamiliar pursuits outside their own fields, even if it means starting from scratch.
