Story Syndicate has promoted Jon Bardin to president of documentary and unscripted, a title upgrade reflecting his growing role at the documentary powerhouse founded by Liz Garbus and Dan Cogan. Bardin joined the company at its founding in 2019 and previously served as head of documentary and unscripted, overseeing the studio's push into recurring nonfiction series and its equity fund for financing documentary projects.

In his new position Bardin will continue reporting to CEO Cogan, alongside a leadership team that includes production head Tommy Coriale and development VP Lianna Schwartzman. A Harvard graduate with a neuroscience PhD, Bardin has produced titles including Fauci, Titan: The OceanGate Disaster and Maternal Instinct, and executive produced projects such as Harry & Meghan and Britney vs Spears; Garbus and Cogan praised his judgment and industry rapport in a joint statement.
