Meadow Announce Self-Titled Debut Album: Hear “Yon”
Bay Area post-hardcore act Meadow have announced their self-titled debut album, due out on 15 September via the local label Cherub Dream, alongside the release of lead single "Yon". The band, known since 2023 for clanging, meditative post-hardcore demos, recorded the album in early 2025, but a lengthy mixing process saw them go on hiatus and undergo a lineup change, with remaining members Cole Baron and Ghemarson Deang steering the project in a more experimental direction.
As a result, the finished record captures a version of the band that has already shifted, with Baron and Deang now the core members carrying it forward. New single "Yon" is described as a vast, crushing track drawing comparisons to Unwound and Deftones. The eight-track album, titled simply Meadow, includes songs such as "Aleck", "Fiver", "Loosie", "Spindle", "thanksgiving ii", "B8" and "Animal", and will be released through Cherub Dream, a label also associated with acts including starbelliedbug, Welcome Strawberry, Tricky FM and Sloome.
