Actress Sasha Calle discusses returning to Apple TV+'s neo-noir series "Sugar" for its second season, joining star Colin Farrell as Val, a resourceful protégé to his character John Sugar. Filming took place around Los Angeles, a city Calle knows well from acting school and earlier roles, giving the shoot a nostalgic quality as production revisited locations tied to her own past.

Calle's character is introduced via a carjacking storyline involving Sugar's baby blue 1966 Chevrolet Corvette, which Val recovers after it is stolen. Keen to drive the car on screen herself rather than leave it to a stunt double, Calle volunteered when the opportunity arose. Alongside "Sugar", her recent and upcoming work spans genres, including Netflix's "The Rip", the indie film "On Swift Horses", and Mike Flanagan's forthcoming "Exorcist" adaptation with Scarlett Johansson and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
