‘Dune 3’ Tickets On Sale Now With Early Screenings, But There’s a Catch

Polygon · 4 hours ago

Tickets have gone on sale for Dune: Part Three ahead of its 18 December release, with screenings offered in formats including IMAX, 70MM, D-Box, Dolby and Premium Large Format. Early-access "Dune Insider" screenings on 14 and 15 December are proving highly sought after, with seats reportedly selling out quickly. The launch coincides with a new mini-trailer featuring Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), Chani (Zendaya) and Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh), and comes amid a wider IMAX boom driven by recent hits The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The film will be shown in the exclusive 70MM IMAX format at only 34 US cinemas, and some audiences who saw The Odyssey in that format have already glimpsed an early clip from Part Three. Director Denis Villeneuve, who has said this will be his final Dune film, adapts Dune Messiah with co-writer Brian K. Vaughan; Hans Zimmer returns as composer, while Linus Sandgren takes over cinematography from Greig Fraser. The release lands the same day as Avengers: Doomsday, and follows a strong 2026 box office in which The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day each passed $1 billion globally, putting the year on track to be the first since 2019 to top $10 billion domestically.
