NIGHTWISH vocalist Floor Jansen performed as a guest singer with the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy at the opening concert of Sail Harlingen in the Netherlands on 2 July 2026. Among the songs she performed was a symphonic rendition of Metallica's power ballad "Nothing Else Matters", with footage of the performance now available to watch online.
The appearance comes amid a busy period for Jansen's solo career, following the release of her single "Run" in June, produced by Gordon Groothedde and marking a harder, darker turn in her sound after her 2023 debut album "Paragon". Since that release she has toured to sold-out audiences, amassed nearly 150 million solo streams, and continues to draw large festival crowds, while NIGHTWISH itself has not toured since announcing a live hiatus in April 2023 following the release of "Yesterwynde".
