Brad Pitt Joins Wim Wenders’ Peter Zumthor Doc as Executive Producer (Exclusive)
Brad Pitt has joined Wim Wenders' upcoming documentary "From Inside Out – The Architecture of Peter Zumthor" as an executive producer, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The film explores the work of Pritzker Prize-winning Swiss architect Peter Zumthor, whose buildings Pitt has long championed, most notably lobbying in support of Zumthor's contested design for the new Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), completed this year.
Shot over 14 years, the documentary traces Zumthor's career from his early Alpine family homes to major works including the Therme Vals spa, Cologne's Kolumba Museum and Norway's Steilneset Memorial, as well as his abandoned Topography of Terror project in Berlin. Pitt, who spoke at a pivotal 2019 LA County hearing backing the LACMA design, has no financial stake in the film and his Plan B company is not involved, though it opens with a "Brad Pitt presents" credit. Produced by Wenders' Road Movies and DCM, and shot in 3D like his 2023 film "Anselm", the documentary will premiere out of competition at the Venice Film Festival next month, with HanWay handling world sales.
