The Stray Cats Pounce on ‘Rock This Town’ For Late-Night TV Return: Watch

Billboard · 2 hours ago

The Stray Cats, the American rockabilly trio led by Brian Setzer, performed their hit "Rock This Town" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, marking a notable return for the band. The appearance is especially significant given that Setzer revealed an auto-immune diagnosis in early 2025 that temporarily left him unable to play guitar, seeking treatment at the Mayo Clinic before recovering.

Formed by Long Island schoolmates Setzer, Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom, the Stray Cats broke into the British charts in the early 1980s, landing five UK top 40 hits including two top 10s, with "Rock This House" peaking at No. 9 in 1981. The band recently wrapped a summer US tour on 16 August in Morristown, New Jersey, and will launch a month-long autumn run on 9 November in Grand Prairie, Texas, ending on 6 December in Foxwoods, Connecticut, following the 2025 release of new tracks "Stampede" and a cover of "Teenage Heaven".
