Apple TV has greenlit the second season of its adaptation of Carl Hiaasen's bestselling novel, with actor Vince Vaughn reprising his lead role as the charismatic detective Andrew Yancy. The ensemble cast expands to include acclaimed performers such as John Malkovich and Yvonne Strahovski alongside returning regulars, positioning the season as a substantial production for the streaming platform.

The new season introduces an independent storyline in which Yancy becomes a witness to a significant crime and must partner with a forensic accountant to solve it. His quest to recover his detective credentials becomes complicated by his involvement in conflicts between rival criminal factions and encounters with an assortment of unconventional Florida characters. Apple TV will release fresh episodes every Wednesday starting in early December and continuing through early February 2027.
