Joel Kinnaman's action thriller Icefall has become available to stream on Prime Video for all US subscribers, after previously being restricted to digital rental and purchase platforms. The film adds to Kinnaman's growing reputation as a dependable action lead, following roles in the divisive 2014 RoboCop reboot, the Netflix hit The Killing, and the recent Jo Nesbø adaptation Detective Hole.

Icefall, described as a blend of John Wick and The Grey, centres on a young Native American game warden who captures a poacher and discovers he knows the location of a plane carrying millions of dollars that crashed into a frozen lake. The film first launched on platforms such as Apple TV and Fandango at Home last November and has yet to receive a Rotten Tomatoes score from critics or audiences.
