‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ Officially Returns With 2 New Releases
Author Sarah J. Maas is continuing her bestselling A Court of Thorns and Roses fantasy series with two new novels, following the cancellation last year of Hulu's planned television adaptation. The announcement gives fans of the series, which follows sisters Feyre, Nesta and Elain Archeron in the faerie realm of Prythian, a new instalment to look forward to despite the screen adaptation falling through.
The sixth book in the series, titled A Court of Splintered Harmony, is due for release on 27 October 2026, while the seventh, A Court of Forgotten Melody, follows on 12 January 2027. Titles and cover artwork for both books have now been revealed. The news comes amid renewed interest in televised fantasy more broadly, with HBO's House of the Dragon Season 3 drawing 21.5 million global viewers for its premiere, though its fourth season is not expected until 2028.
