‘Never After Dark’ Trailer: Stephen King Raves This Psychic Medium Thriller Is ‘Amazing and Haunting’ (EXCLUSIVE)
The trailer for 'Never After Dark,' a supernatural horror written and directed by Dave Boyle, has premiered to considerable acclaim from established figures in the genre. The film centres on Airi, a psychic medium who travels to an isolated country home to expel a malevolent spirit at the owner's request. Accompanied by the spectral presence of her deceased sister, Airi encounters a grotesque apparition whose capabilities extend beyond her previous experience, prompting her to investigate the property's hidden history whilst facing opposition from the homeowner's sceptical son.
The production has garnered significant praise ahead of its wide release, with horror legend Stephen King endorsing it as both remarkable and unsettling. Director Scott Derrickson, known for his work on supernatural thrillers including 'Sinister' and 'The Black Phone,' characterised the film as intellectually engaging and visually ambitious. The film previously received the grand jury prize for feature film at the Overlook Film Festival and is scheduled for theatrical distribution on 25 September through Magnolia Pictures.
