‘Ted Lasso’ Star’s New Alien Abduction Sci-Fi Movie Officially Gets Bonkers First Look [Exclusive]

Collider · 3 hours ago

Collider has shared an exclusive first-look image from "Into the Sky", a sci-fi comedy starring Emmy winner Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso, Detroiters, Veep), ahead of its screening at Fantastic Fest 2026. The reveal kicks off Collider's annual Exclusive Preview partnership with the Austin-based genre festival, which is expanding to 21 images this year to mark its 21st anniversary.

Richardson plays Bobby, a man whose life is upended after he is repeatedly abducted by aliens over the course of a year, causing his marriage to collapse. He forms an unlikely bond with Nico, a woman renting his home while planning her brother's wedding, with the pair helping each other through their respective crises until another long-term abduction victim complicates matters further. The new image, seemingly set at the wedding, shows a terrified Bobby confronting his abductors again, underscoring the film's blend of cosmic mystery and heartfelt romance. Fantastic Fest 2026 takes place next month.
