A24’s Kate Fassl Joins Ari Aster’s Square Peg As Head Of Comms & Talent Relations
A24 communications veteran Kate Fassl is moving to Ari Aster's production company Square Peg as its new Head of Communications and Talent Relations, Deadline reported exclusively. In her new role she will oversee comms strategy, press and brand for the company, working closely with filmmakers and talent, a hire that reinforces Square Peg's growing standing in the industry.
Fassl spent 12 years at A24, where she led campaigns for films including Best Picture Oscar winner Everything Everywhere All At Once, Baby Girl, and Square Peg titles Eddington and The Drama. Her arrival follows a strong year for Square Peg, founded by Asher and Lars Knudsen with Aster, which had the four-times Oscar-nominated Bugonia and The Drama, a $132 million global box office hit starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. The company is expanding further with projects including Lance Oppenheim's Primetime, premiering at Venice and opening in cinemas on 25 September, Aster's Scapegoat, new TV deals with MediaRes, Netflix, Amazon and Searchlight, and its second annual Square Peg Social event in Austin this September.
