Netflix Officially Confirms ‘One Piece’ Is Changing Its Winning Formula With New Release
Netflix has unveiled fresh key art for THE ONE PIECE, a new anime adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's manga produced by WIT Studio. The series will retell the story from the beginning, starting with the East Blue saga, offering a new generation of viewers a fresh take on Luffy's earliest adventures even as the original anime continues to run.
Crucially, this project is entirely separate from existing One Piece adaptations: it is not a continuation of Toei Animation's long-running series, which remains ongoing more than two decades after it began, nor is it linked to Netflix's live-action version starring Iñaki Godoy. Instead, WIT Studio is working directly from Oda's source manga to produce an independent reinterpretation, with the newly released artwork giving an early indication of its visual style.
