Woody Harrelson Ready to Direct Another Live Film, Compares Jason Bateman’s ‘The Cackling of the Dodos’ to Martin McDonagh and the Coen Brothers

Woody Harrelson has said he is ready to direct another live film, nearly a decade after his ambitious debut with "Lost in London," the world's first live-streamed feature. Speaking at the Variety Lounge during the Sarajevo Film Festival, the actor also revealed he is dipping his toes into stand-up comedy, marking two new creative ventures for the star despite an already prolific career spanning over 100 films and hit television shows.

Harrelson described directing "Lost in London" in 2016 as "the most challenging thing" he has ever experienced, given its complexity of 14 locations and hundreds of extras, but said he would consider a scaled-down, roughly hour-long version with a streaming platform to mark the anniversary. On comedy, he said he has been making notes but has yet to actually try performing, ruling out any prospect of a special in the near term. He is also set to appear alongside Matthew McConaughey, his "True Detective" co-star, in the new Apple TV comedy series "Brothers," playing a fictionalised version of himself.
