Progressive Metalcore Band THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU Announces First Full-Length Studio Album In Seven Years

Blabbermouth · 4 hours ago

Progressive metalcore band The Number Twelve Looks Like You have announced their sixth studio album, "Howls From The Holographic Heart", their first full-length in seven years, set for release on 16 October 2026 via Equal Vision Records. The New Jersey act, known for eschewing musical trends over their two-decade career, say the record is an honest reflection of where they are now, following up 2019's "Wild Gods" with a deliberately unexpected and eclectic sound.

The album was produced by Jeremy Cormitas, Trae Titus and the band's own Alexis Pareja, and spans styles from chaotic screamo on opener "Trust Chaos" to a "salsa death metal" feel on "Joy Is A Weapon" and progressive pop on "Glow In The Dark Skin". Frontman Jesse Korman said lyrics capture specific moments, including his response to the Covid pandemic on "Dancing Before The Flood". Alongside the announcement, the band released a video for single "Joy Is A Weapon", featuring Foxy Shazam, and confirmed a "Mongrel" 20th-anniversary tour running from 25 September to 30 October 2026, with support from Kaonashi, Blind Equation and Differences in select markets.
