Four teenagers in New Jersey allegedly stole a luxury Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon and led police on an hours-long chase before crashing head-on into another car, killing a grandmother and her long-term partner. The incident has drawn attention as another case of joyriding and police pursuits ending in fatal consequences for uninvolved members of the public, and has prompted multiple criminal charges against the teenagers involved.

Alice Stilwell Holt, 67, and Robert "Bob" Barr Jr., 54, both from Egg Harbor Township, died on 22 August when the stolen 2024 G-Wagon struck their Hyundai near Route 50 in Mays Landing, sending it into a nearby petrol station. Nayshaun Brown, 18, and three juveniles allegedly took the vehicle around 3.40am and evaded officers for hours before the fatal crash; Brown faces charges including conspiracy, eluding, receiving a stolen vehicle and employing a juvenile in a crime, and remains in custody along with two of the juveniles, while the fourth was released by a judge.
