Which? surveyed 1,461 recent lounge users to rank business-class and independent airport lounges, finding substantial differences in comfort, food, service and calmness before flights.

– Emirates was the top business-class lounge brand, scoring 85%, followed by Virgin Atlantic (84%) and Qatar Airways (82%).
– Emirates, Virgin Atlantic and Qatar Airways generally received four out of five stars across assessed categories; Qatar’s toilets lacked enough responses to rate.
– Lufthansa ranked last among airline lounge brands with 62%, while British Airways was second from bottom on 63%.
– British Airways customers cited overcrowding, difficulty finding adjacent seats, average or unappetising food, and limited magazines or newspapers; the airline said it is investing in lounge upgrades.
– Clubrooms was named the leading independent lounge, scoring 64%, with praise for plentiful food and welcoming staff.
