Apple TV Officially Brings Ridley Scott’s 2-Part Sci-Fi Masterpiece Back to Life

Collider · 5 hours ago

Ridley Scott’s sci-fi drama Raised by Wolves is gaining renewed attention after appearing among the most-watched titles on Apple TV’s pay-per-view service, according to FlixPatrol data. The resurgence matters because HBO Max cancelled the series after two seasons and later removed it from its platform, leaving its story unfinished despite critical and audience support. Strong rental and purchase interest does not ensure a revival, but suggests that a committed audience remains.

Created by Aaron Guzikowski, the 18-episode series follows two androids raising human children on a distant planet after Earth is devastated by war, while religious conflict threatens the new settlement. Ridley Scott directed the first two episodes and served as executive producer; the cast includes Travis Fimmel, Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Niamh Algar and Aasiya Shah. It premiered in 2020, returned for a second season, and was cancelled amid Warner Bros. Discovery cost-cutting after David Zaslav became chief executive.

  • Raised by Wolves is charting again on Apple TV PVOD.
  • HBO cancelled and removed the unfinished sci-fi drama.
  • Renewed viewing interest does not guarantee a revival.
