‘Coyote vs. Acme’ Cast and Crew Held a ‘Funeral Screening’ After the Movie Was Shelved: ‘Was Emotional in So Many Ways’
The cast and crew of “Coyote vs. Acme” held a “funeral screening” when they believed Warner Bros. had permanently shelved the film. The event reflected the disappointment felt by those involved, but it also became a celebratory opportunity to share the completed film before its eventual rescue and release.
Ketchup Entertainment acquired the live-action and animation comedy in March 2025, with a theatrical release scheduled for 28 August. The film follows Wile E. Coyote suing Acme after repeated gadget-related injuries, and stars Will Forte and Lana Condor alongside John Cena, Tone Bell and others.
