‘Law & Order: SVU’ Adds J. Smith Cameron As Recurring For Season 28
J. Smith-Cameron has joined Law & Order: SVU in a recurring role for its upcoming 28th season. She will play jury consultant Gwen Sharpe alongside Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson, adding a prominent new supporting character as the long-running NBC drama returns.
Smith-Cameron will first appear in the season premiere on Thursday 8 October at 9pm ET/PT. Best known as Gerri Kellman in Succession, a role that brought two Emmy nominations and other awards, she joins a cast including Ice-T, Peter Scanavino, Kelli Giddish, Kevin Kane, Aimé Donna Kelly and Corey Cott; SVU continues to follow New York police investigating sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence.
