Prince Estate Releases Album, Timeless, on 10th Anniversary of Death: Stream
The Prince estate has released Timeless, a collection of 10 rare and previously unreleased recordings, to mark the 10th anniversary of the musician’s death. The album is significant because it is the first estate-curated release designed to cover every major period of Prince’s career, highlighting the breadth of material held in his vault.
The tracks were recorded between 1977 and 2016, ranging from music made during Prince’s teenage years in Minneapolis to one of his final recorded performances. The release was previewed by “With This Tear”, recorded by Prince in November 1991 before he gave the song to Celine Dion, and “Stone”, an unreleased spring 1995 recording written by Sandra St. Victor, Tom Hammer and Jules Van Even.

Prince was an American singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose career spanned nearly four decades. He became known for blending pop, funk, rock and R&B, and for hits including “Purple Rain”, “When Doves Cry” and “Kiss”.
He recorded a large amount of music beyond what was released during his lifetime, much of it stored in a private archive often called the Vault. Prince died in 2016, aged 57, and his estate now manages his music and other rights.
