Away from football, Bronze spent part of the summer working with refugees in Colombia through the UN Refugee Agency, after several years of planned visits were delayed by tournament commitments. Colombia is facing a humanitarian crisis, with about 2.8 million Venezuelan refugees and migrants and seven million internally displaced people; Bronze says she is motivated by helping grow the game and supporting people beyond the pitch, despite the emotional demands of that work.
