Gerard Butler’s 2018 military thriller Hunter Killer has returned to streaming internationally via Prime Video and the iTunes Store. The film follows a US submarine captain investigating a missing vessel in the Arctic before uncovering a Russian coup, placing him and a Navy SEAL team in a mission to avert a wider conflict.

Although it underperformed in cinemas, earning about $31.7 million worldwide against an estimated $40 million budget, the film later found an audience through home entertainment and streaming. It received a 37% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, compared with a 67% audience score, and features Gary Oldman, Common, Linda Cardellini and Toby Stephens alongside Butler.
