Forget ‘Obsession,’ Robin Williams’ Unnerving Psychological Thriller Is Officially Leaving Streaming
Robin Williams’ psychological thriller One Hour Photo is due to leave Peacock in the United States on 1 September 2026. The 2002 film is notable for showing Williams, best known for comic roles, in a disturbing dramatic performance as an isolated photo technician whose fixation on a customer’s family becomes increasingly alarming.
Directed by Mark Romanek, the film co-stars Connie Nielsen and Michael Vartan and follows Sy Parrish, who develops photographs for the Yorkin family while imagining himself as part of their life. It earned more than $50 million worldwide from a reported $12 million budget, and has an 81% “Certified Fresh” Rotten Tomatoes score; Roger Ebert described Williams’ performance as “profoundly creepy”.
