Mile 22, the 2018 action thriller starring Mark Wahlberg, has begun streaming on Netflix in supported territories. The film was the fourth collaboration between Wahlberg and director Peter Berg, following grounded dramas such as Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon, but this time the pair shifted towards a leaner, more violent style influenced by films like Sicario and The Raid.

Running at just 94 minutes, the film follows CIA operative James Silva (Wahlberg), who leads a covert unit tasked with transporting a police officer holding sensitive intelligence 22 miles to an extraction point while hostile forces attempt to stop them. The cast includes Lauren Cohan, Iko Uwais, John Malkovich and Ronda Rousey, with Uwais's close-quarters fight sequences widely regarded as a highlight. Despite a production budget reported between $35 million and $60 million, Mile 22 grossed $66.3 million worldwide and received a lukewarm critical reception, holding 23% on Rotten Tomatoes against a higher 44% audience score, and it never spawned the franchise its makers had hoped for.
