Justin Rose made a spectacular hole-in-one during the final round of the Tour Championship, holing his tee shot on the par-3 ninth without the ball even touching the ground before dropping in. The ace came despite Rose having a largely unremarkable final round and being out of contention in the PGA Tour's season-ending event, offering a rare highlight in an otherwise forgettable day.

The ninth hole was playing 208 yards over water, and Rose struck a six-iron that flew directly into the cup, prompting a celebratory reaction from the Englishman. He followed the ace with a bogey on the next hole, while world number one Scottie Scheffler had earlier come close to his own ace, landing within three inches on the second. Rose, the 2018 FedEx Cup champion, won his 13th PGA Tour title earlier this year at the Farmers Insurance Open and is set to chase a place on the European Ryder Cup team for next year's event in Ireland.
