Chappell Roan Says Daisy Chain Fields Reignited Her Love of Performing: ‘Didn’t Realize How Much I Missed It’

Chappell Roan has credited the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields charity festival with reigniting her enthusiasm for live performance, describing her Saturday set as her first proper show in months. In an Instagram post following the event, she thanked organiser Olivia Rodrigo, praising her use of celebrity platform for charitable causes, and said the experience reminded her how much she had missed performing, jokingly comparing it to living out a "fifth element fantasy". Rodrigo replied warmly in the comments, underscoring the pair's long-standing friendship, which dates back to Roan supporting her on the Sour and Guts world tours.

The festival, held on 29 August, featured a line-up including Mitski, Doechii, The Breeders, Garbage and Bikini Kill, with Devon Again stepping in for KATSEYE after a member injury. Rodrigo's headline set included surprise appearances from Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan and Alanis Morissette. All proceeds are going to charities supporting women and girls, including Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights; ticket sales raised $10 million, which Melinda French Gates then matched, bringing the total to $20 million.
